Sample digestion for AOF determination in accordance with DIN 38409-59 and ISO 18127
![]()
AOF quantifies fluorinated pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and PFAS in environmental water samples, serving as a screening parameter for complex fluorine compounds.

The described pyrohydrolytic digestion system (ICprep) provides a reliable, efficient approach for AOF analysis in water, compatible with standard methods and existing analytical equipment.
It offers advantages in cost, flexibility, and low detection limits, making it suitable for routine environmental monitoring and compliance with relevant standards.
The system can also be adapted for other adsorbable halogens and integrated with various analyzers, broadening its application scope.
